Is it because of the "Silent Majority". If you thought, "yes", that's why Republicans have owned the White House for 28 of the last 40 years--right?

Speaking of which, I watched Olbermann last night for as long as I could stand watching the Jesus-hater and all he talked about was Bill O'Reilly--right? Olbermann is like a stalker--right?

O'Reilly's ratings are 6 times higher--right? It's a wonder Uncle Olbie even has a job--right?. He spends way too much time talking about 20 year old YouTube girls too--right?. I'd love to search the C drive of that perv's home computer, wouldn't you? I bet the FBI wouldn't mind either--right?

Pwned!

First, Jessica your a male using a female avatar.
Secondly, I can't in good conscious get all my news from one source. Conservatives who want to be brainwashed want to only watch Fox news. They can't stand the ambiguity of opinions that could conflict with the way they believe. I have no such problems. That's why I took the time to answer your silly question. I will watch MSNBC, CBS, C span, and yes, even Fox News. Other liberals typically do the same. That's why Fox has higher ratings. Too many conservatives will watch nothing else. While liberals will get sources from several different places. Watching Fox News all the time, is like listening to Air America all the time. It's too bias to trust.
Thirdly, Keith Olbermann does have a liberal bias. Bill O'Reilly has an even more pronounced conservative bias. O'Reilly settled a sexual harassment suit out of court with one of his fellow employees. Olbermann to date, hasn't had any of those problems. Olbermann in his show doesn't pay anymore attention to 20 year old girls than he does anyone else.
Fourthly, you are the typical neocon troll, that will say ANYTHING to slander someone.
Fifthly, YOU have just been told !

Why?
The Simpsoms
Family Guy
King of the Hill
the late great 70's show
and on and on
Fox is a great ENTERTAINMENT channel.
Their news however is third rate.

Bill O'Reilly is a step above Rush. But is that anything to be proud of?
If only we could bring the spirit of Barry Goldwater Sr. back for his own show! Now that would be informative!!!

Maybe the 27% of the ones hanging on to support a failure for a President are seeking some 24 hour validation for their waste of time?

The Bush administrations policy of fear only works on those gullible enough to still think we all need to listen to the lies he sells.

It's simply because most people like to be informed with the real news and not be spoon fed only the things they want to hear.

Fox News is always criticized for being too conservative - and I like to think it is only the far left putting this nonsense out because they can't understand that "conservative" and "reality" usually mean the same thing.
And they are incapable of hearing any news that contradicts their preconceived notions of how things SHOULD be, rather than how things REALLY are.
And they're damned sure not going to listen to any news detailing ANY positive results of many of President Bush's policies - irregardless of the facts. They are only comfortable when their views are being reinforced and not challenged.

So how do these rating figures jibe with the Conservative claim the US Media is liberal-biased?

Obviously the media.... ahh Jessica youre just a hateful little troll... you dont provide sources (the voices in your head dont count as legitimate sources), your questions are not designed to make anyone more knowledgable or provide insights, because you HAVE no insight, only hate.

Because Fox News is not news. It's entertainment television.

You should be comparing Fox News to all the popular sitcoms on the other networks, rather than their news programs.

Because Fox is a big timesaver. They report the news AND tell you what to think about it. The others leave that last part up to the viewer.

Because conservatives only like things that agree with their ideas..so they have only one choice, like Fox News or Rush. So that usually leads to a boom for ratings. But why no one else has picked up this market trend, because its based on a trick telling you what you want to hear. And that's not very good programming. Conservatives would love a bland world with one way of life and one way of thought...because anything different to them makes them uncomfortable.

Saying that Fox News is best because they have the highest ratings is like saying "Porky's" is a better movie than "Citizen Kane" because more people saw it on opening night.

*ahem*

BTW, the GOP's "Republican Revolution" only lasted 12 years, ending with last November's election where Americans -- many of them conservative -- rejected Bush's policies and endorsed candidates, throwing it safely back into the capable hands of the Democrats. I'm sure your friends O'Reilly and Hannity are spinning mad over that one. :)

Well liberals read. We don't need our news spoon fed to us in cute little double speak talking points that make no sense. We prefer to think for ourselves.

You guys should try it sometimes, you will be pleasantly surprised to find out that the world doesn't end and begin at the east and west coast of this country. There is media from all over the world that gives different points of view. Highly enlightening.
