Six of us own property. One of them said they would pay the taxes ($7000) and they didn't, but a white knight (the neighbor) paid them. Now what do we do. Do we have time to pay them and not lose the property? Thanks.

I don't think you will lose the property since the taxes have been paid. Your best bet is to talk to the neighbour and arrange how to pay them back. As long as they are not going to try to use it against you, everything should be fine.

The major question is why they paid the taxes for you and how did they know? Did they do it help you, or did they do it to have something over you?

Get over there and start talking, get it all sorted out as soon as you can.

I do not know if it is different for each State or County, however in my State you have 5 years to pay the taxes if the property goes throught the auction for forclosures. Also if someone puts a fence around your property and you dont have them take it down , in 10 years they claim the property and you got nothing.

You do have some time. They will put a lien on your property so that you cannot sell it without paying them. Eventually they can take the property but everyone that has a lien on it must be paid. So if there is a mortgage they would need to make arrangements with them.

if he paid for your taxes then you will have to pay him plus interest
and how much time you have depends on your state usually 1to 2 yrs and you can and will lose the property if you dont pay so you need to pay asap its costing you more everyday in interest

you may keep the taxpayer extra income case you investigated your MP as thoroughly. Phew, happy I`m no longer your neighbour. The labour government love human beings such as you, who're the recent British stasi, reporting each physique to the council. Does she positioned the incorrect rubbish in her recycle bin too? I`d document her for that too!! you're so petty, demanding via fact her protection gentle is left on at night. And thinking how lots which will fee. Get a existence. and certainly, she is authorized to have somebody staying for 3 nights a week. it won't influence her income, cos they are able to`t classification it that he lives together with her. i'm no longer on income, I definitely have labored all my existence. So, no, she isn't committing housing income fraud. The stasi is alive and properly and thriving interior the united kingdom. The stasi have been, are, informers to the government and state.
