same here mate, i know exactly what you mean, ( atm in uk), went back in the mid winter a few years ago from zero to 30 over degrees..man, felt like just shedding everything ( mind the pun) cant stand the heat as i touched down..but being home for 6 weeks made me adapt to the weather..survival skills indeed !
but i remembered being in cool air conditioned shopping mall , lecture halls, librabries etc..
as the first person answered before, yeah, dont get out of an air contioned room if you have to, or put the fan on full blast.
and get a cool shower when possible to cool down..
gosh, havent been back for ages..planning to..will have to pack up so shorts!hahahha
cheers mate

I had lived in many countries and to answer your question it is just a matter of surviving skills. It depends on your preferences and how to deal with it. Some people prefer cold, some prefer warm and some do not mind at all. Drink a lot of water, stay in and wear light clothes are the best advice. Nobody in Malaysia has died simply because it is humid and hot but a lot of people in the West especially homeless person died because it's cold outside!

I guess everyone adapts to the weather sensibly, be it cold or hot. We don't purposely go out under the sun for no reason, keep ourselves cool indoors (with the air-cond at full blast if necessary), drink more liquids and take more showers (even hot ones - I hate cold showers!). BTW, taking a hot drink after consuming spicy food will reduce the fieryness faster than an iced cold drink, and take an iced drink if you are feeling cold; it warms you faster!

its really depend on you, not coz of the humid things or what, just remember how come last time you can survive and suddenly now u just cant... keep thinking about it,... i been staying in seattle US for 5 years.. came back to malaysia, im just being me, coz deep in me i knw where im born... im malaysian.. this is me.
Try to be yrself, not the person you want to be.

humid keeps skin moisturize and prevent ageing... i personally luv the weather here compare to the dry ,cold n hot weather in arizona and melbourne. back in aussie n states...the UV exposure is extremely high compare to malaysia...thou its cooler.i never felt reli hot n cold... lol ...bath more..drink more water..eat more ice cream..stay in air condtioned rooms ,malls n offices..
i think u have over active sweat glands...u can remove those actuali.

even an orang putih from th UK ,Bicycle Repaiman survived and had been living in malaysia for 10 years without any problem

Like what Lotus said, it's a skill. we are very skillful and pandai (not pandi ,repairman) people in survival and those who are stupid and have no skills with brains made of wax already left for australia for good

we're used to the weather...I understand..........Australia is a not so hot and cold country.....or to make it easier....a temperate country......You're used to the weather......so coming back to a country which is hotter than australia,,,,I understand that........but as for me,I would normally stay at somewhere air conditioned like shopping malls...or take a very cold shower and stay at home.........

Very easy, take more showers. Everytime you get back from outside, go and get a shower. Simple as that. Also a Chinese saying, "Coolness comes with calmness", just don't get upset so easily.
