There are many good companies out there. They are kind of like ski boots, they are all good but each company tends to tailor to a certain foot shape. (ie. Lange boots are made for long narrow feet) I would not limit yourself to thinking and asking which is the best company. I would go with. what fits my foot the best. Burton makes a very good boot as does Solomon and K2. I typically like to go with Solomon since they fit my foot the best. I have never found a Burton that was comfortable and I've had luck with Heelside before (though I don't recommend Heelside since they didn't last very long) Vans are a decent boot as well.
What I'm getting at is if many people tell you Burtons' are the best but you try it on and it hurts your feet. Don't buy it!! I typically find Burton to be a good company thats prices are way too high because you are paying so much for the name. however their clothing is really the best out there and highly recommned the clothing line.

The best boot on the market is probably the SL-9 by Burton. It has about a million features including an airbag type cushion that is molded to your foot. Although it does seem like the boot to get, the price is a bit of a turn off. $549.95. For a snowboard boot, it is way overdone. You can buy a very good boot for $300. Check out the SL-9:

I bought the Burton Shaun White boots, they feel really good for me, I can over shoot a landing, and land in the flat without the bottom of my feet stinging, or feeling any pain, because of the air bags. But make sure whatever you get they are the proper size and more comfortable than your shoes. If they are a little small, you will be feeling it all day, if they are too big you will lift out of them. When I bought my boots I thought they were a little ugly, but they felt good, and I like how they look now! Also don't buy the name, just cause someone told you to.

Good makes that havent been mentioned much so far are Vans, DC and Thirtytwo. All three makes concentrate primarily on footwear so you know their products are going to be good. I especially rate Thirtytwo but thats just me, to be honest the best boots are the boots that fit your feet the best. Don't get too influenced by brands and styles etc, go for the ones that feel the most comfortable to you and you can't go wrong really.

I got DC park boots. They're super comfortable and keep my toes toassty. They're like 200 so not super expensive..Also there is a BOA system that doesnt require laces but I hear it breaks somewhat easily. I'd recommend the DC park, they have some features that other companies dont have which gave me a little more feel. Some other people i know that have them feel the same way.
