I had a strange dream; and when I awoke, I awoke with a start and in a cold sweat. Let me explain my deam, or nightmare. Whatever you wish to call it.
I am about to get married, my soon-to-be-husband waiting for me to reach him at the altar. My father is not by my side, like I have always imagined, and I walk alone. My dress is a simple white gown. The dream starts out normal enough...then gets strange when I have not walked even half way to my love. I start stepping forward and everyone turns to look at me. As I advance they stare open-mouthed at me with looks of fear and shock, then look down at my dress. When I go to do the same, the white gown is soaking itself with blood. I am not injured in this dream, but nonetheless the blood stains my white dress, seemingly coming from nowhere. I look at my love with a horrified face and he too has a look of fear. My eyes begin to well up with tears and I cry, tears of blood. I fall to my knees, drenched, and broken and look up again to see

my love (David) looking down at me sympathetically. He is no longer looking to me with a horrified face, now he just looks upon me and smiles sadly, almost with a look of...transcendence. (I apologize if that is spelled wrong).

I think this means you have some issues to resolve before you make that trip to the altar, to be honest. There are at least two points in your story that indicate problems; first, the fact that your father isn't with you and second, you're covered with blood. I'm only guessing here, but I am wondering if you think your father might disapprove of your upcoming nuptials; as I said, though, it's only a guess. More often than not, blood signifies guilt about a past transgression one has committed; perhaps you are afraid that David might find out something about you that you don't want him to discover.

Now, I must warn you: I am not a psychologist, a psychiatrist, or a therapist of any sort; you may want to discuss this with a qualified professional. But from my viewpoint, I think you should do two things: First, if your father is available, talk to him and ask him what he thinks. That might go a long way. Second, ask yourself (yes, you read that right) what you have done in the past that you might feel guilty about, and what you might to to get past that. More often than not, if you think about these things with the goal of solving them, you can significantly reduce your anxieties. Best of luck, and I hope things turn out well.

In the attempt to walk down the aisle you are bringing with you every misdeed you have ever committed. Every one including your fiance can see one or more of these and look upon you in fear. After breaking down and giving in your fiance looks at you in love and "sympathy". I'd think more like empathy. A sense of being able to relate and transcend the worlds you are coming from.

Maybe you are worried about how people see what you are doing. The past is behind you but a wedding is a chance for all people to come together whether it was you who wronged them or them wronging you. You have a chance to make a new world and life for you and your fiance. As long as you talk about the past you can get beyond it, together. Communication is key. Best wishes

If your gut tells you this is a big deal, then listen to it. However, I had similar nightmares before I married my husband- not play-by-play - but essentially similar. Please at least consider that its not a horrible warning - marriage is a big step and a feeling of vulnerability or pending doom is actually pretty natural. Are your dreams ever accurate? And really, marriage is a death of sorts. You're leaving one life behind and entering a new one... I don't know that anyone can interpret dreams accurately - so don't get too carried away if someone gives you a terrible interpretation. Good luck!

It sounds like to me that you are ready and willing to commit, but your afraid of taking that step. Allot of brides often have these kinds of dreams, it goes along with having cold feet.
You feel like you are abandoning your father and perhaps in your dream you killed him. Your fiance is sympathetic to you and is still there for you with love knowing you sacraficed your fathers love for him.
I think that you have a great relationship with him, and will have a great marriage.

Sounds like you have a very vivid imagination and a writer's mind. I'd say that either you aren't sure that you want to get married yet, or that you should get a psychology book on dream analyzing.

hi Paula It skill you have had an scary dream. yet you already knew that. the point of targets, so far as we comprehend them, is to technique the great quantity of guidance this is attainable in by using your senses daily at an analogous time as you're wide awake. in this foundation the "meaning" of our targets is basically that we are making experience of guidance which earlier did no longer have a "meaning", for us, by way of fact it hadn't been processed as a fashion to greater healthful into our psychological maps of the worldwide (all your latest ideals, ideas, values, and so on.). Given this purpose, there'll constantly be something in each dream, nevertheless we will not keep in mind it, which ties the dream to cutting-edge "actual existence" activities. besides the incontrovertible fact that a great variety of the flaws which seem in our targets could have no longer something to do with what has been happening in our existence basically in the previous the dream happens. issues can seem in a dream that have been area of the dreamer's memories as far decrease back as they first all started forming memories - or each time in between then and now. Nor do the flaws on your targets could desire to be needless to say regarding one yet another. Like I stated, dreaming, alongside with nightmares, is a skill of looking/making meaning, and the ideas can draw from everywhere in its huge keep of memories as a fashion to accomplish that technique. by utilising the way, there is not any longer something random approximately this technique, yet your subconscious ideas can arise with connections that your unsleeping ideas might by no skill dream of (!), that's why targets usually seem exceptionally strange. it is likewise significant to keep in mind that classes of REM sleep (that's as quickly as we dream) usually final for around 20-half-hour, however the descriptions maximum human beings provide of their targets might fill in hassle-free terms a fragment of that element. What you do no longer keep in mind could desire to unquestionably be as significant, if not greater significant than the little bit you nevertheless preserve once you awaken. So while, if ever, you happen to notice your self having what feels like a strange dream in destiny you could actually relax certain that each little thing is superb. Your ideas is unquestionably doing, with great skill, between the numerous roles it became designed to do.
