I will be buying new glasses on Wednesday and don't know what color frames to get - my hair is medium brown and my eyes are brown - my skin is fair. Also - is the "hot new shape" square? Like what the people are wearing on the LensCrafters commercials?

I just got rectangular glasses and I really like them. I've been getting lots of compliments on them, too. Mine are light tortoise, but my hair is blonde. I think with brown hair dark tortoise would look really nice. And match all of your clothes. I really think colored ones are cute, but personally it would bug me if they clashed with my outfit. It may work for you though, especially maybe red. The only heavy frame color I don't like is black. Way too heavy looking for a woman to get away with.

Rectangular seems to be the new big thing, and IMO, they look good on every face, and yeah they wear them a lot in the commercials.
They always say you should match the frames to your hair, so brown or black would look good. If you're going to a store that has deals and lets you buy a few different styles you could get some red or dark red frames, and if they have a dark green...I think that would look pretty good with your coloring too.

What works on one face doesn't always work on another. Try different shapes to see what works best for you. And since glasses usually aren't bought very often go for a more classic shape that will work for the long run. Tortoise shell print always look chic and can work with all different styles. Also a very muted dull silver metal would look great and modern. Good Luck.

go with whatever you feel comfortable in....you can also trade them out as many times as you want with lenscrafters.... you could also bring a trusting friend to tell you what looks good and what doesn't.....good luck and remember if you don't feel pretty in them you won't wear them

go for something awesome and dramatic like BLACK thick square glasses...or you know the type of glasses worn in the 60s i believe it is from... they are like the cat eye shaped glasses...they look so hot! good luck

yes i have squarish retangle eyeglass that are light pink. i get tons of comments on them.. they are from lenscrafters too!
