Gitanjali (or Gitanjoli in Tagore's native Bangla language) written by Rabindranath Tagore. The 103 poems in the collection were taken from three of Tagore's earlier books of poetry: Gitimallo, Noibeddo, and Khea. This book became the basis for Tagore's winning the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913. He was also the first Asian to win the Nobel prize.
