I'd say get ramirez. He's a much better player, he steals bases, he'll hit for more power this year, he'll get a lot more runs. All sanchez does is hit for average pretty much. He only has a few more doubles than ramirez and it was only ramirez's rookie season. He'll get better trust me and he's worth more in terms of fantasy.

My god, no. Hanley has been chosen in the 3rd and 4th rounds in most drafts I have been in. He is going to steal another 60 bases, and will float around 20 homers. Freddy Sanchez is going to decline in batting average, around to the .300-.310 point, which is still good, even a bit better than Hanley. But the value differences between the 2 players aren't even close, Ramirez takes the cake.

Freddy Sanchez is the 2d Baseman on Pittsburgh. The all-megastar sport has a rule that each group needs to have a representative, so he's Pittsburgh's lone representative. Hanley Ramirez is the shortstop on the Florida Marlins and Jimmy Rollins is the shorstop on Philadelphia Phillies.

No doubt. Sanchez is the best player on the Pirates besides Jason Bay, and he led the NL in betting last year! Ramirez is good, but Freddy is much more consistent, and he should get a decent power stroke soon, and should be good for about 10-15 Homers this year.

Both are real good to have but I think I'd take Sanchez first. I like Ramirez more but Freddy is eligible at 3 positions and gives you some flexibility. Remember, Ramirez has only been on scene one year and it could have been his best he'll have.

Definatley, Sanchez is great BA guy. Plus, this is the last year of his contract. I dont expect too much from the Pirates this year and maybe he will be move to another team where he can produce in other categories like RBI and SB

It depends on your scoring system. I happen to have both in a typical 5x5 league. But I wouldn't trade Hanley -- he helps in steals, runs, HRs and possibly RBIs, depending on where he bats. Sanchez is great in steals and average but doesn't bring any power or RBIs.

a no brainer, get FREDDY SANCHEZ. fo sure. Ramirez only has more hrs then freddy. Freddy dominates him in every other category. hope this helps.

I would go for sanchez He is usally listed @ 3rd/2nd/&ss so he'll give you more flex in your line up. plus he's a really great player with lots of up side...
