Getting good grades doesn't necessarily mean that you are a successful test-taker. You might want to sign up for a class or buy a computer program to help you prepare. When I was about to take the ACT my mom bought a software program designed just for this purpose. I had a 2.-something GPA and was ranked 14th in a class of 40 people, but I got a 28 on the ACT. The software gave good practice with time management and strategies for taking multiple-choice tests.

Though.. I do have to say that the ACT has changed since I took it - there's that big written component now. But an updated class/software program should give you some ideas for that as well. Good luck!
