Looking for plans and/or tips for building 3x8 bookshelf.?

I have a basic idea on how to proceed, but simple plans would be nice to have.

go to lowes they have do it yourself plans.

You should make up your own plans. unless you are going to use adjustable shelves, measure you books, make sure they will fit in the spaces you make without a lot of wasted space. you want an inch or two extra space, but no more than that. if using dados to insert the shelves, try not to have two shelves meeting at the same upright. this weakens it too much.
