I can't say that these guys are gonna make it to the Final Four because I wouldn't put money on it, but the way they can get hot makes me really fear Virginia Tech. You're looking at the first team in over ten years to beat North Carolina and Duke on the road, not to mention beating the tarheels in Blacksburg as well. Many people are saying that Boston College is a team to look out for but after seeing the way Virgina Tech came out and manhandled the eagles, it is hard to say that BC will be going deep. Virginia Tech is one of those teams, because of their erractic play will probably land in the 8/9 game, which means we could be talking about a second round upset of a big name school.
Hope it helps.

I think Texas will win it all this year this is why. They have one of the best college players in the game this year in Kevin Durant. They play in the big 12 which by the way is a pretty hard conference. They have played over 7 ranked teams and they have impressive wins at Michigan St., Tennessee, Arkansas and villanova. They have 2 very tough upcoming games this season against Texas A&M and Kansas in the same week. Texas is currently ranked # 19 in the country. (thats pretty impressive and if they get the last three wins of the season they should be ranked in the top 5) That is why i think Texas will win

in response to some of the answers, boston college and virginia tech both have good wins but both also have taken some really bad losses which makes them susceptible to being upset by a worse team...there is no way texas will go very far, no team that starts four freshmen is capable of winning a national championship...texas a&m and georgetown wouldn't really be "upsets" in my mind, i think they are very underrated by the media because they are not flashy teams, but i wouldn't consider either an upset if they make it
i think the team to watch out for is southern illinois...they play phenomenal defense and have a great inside-outside combination in jamaal tatum and randal falker...they pass the ball well and have a multitude of guys who can shoot the 3, and that combined with their defense will take them at least to the elite 8

Georgetown U. is going to pull some major upsets when the team reaches the Sweet 16. They play tough B-Ball all year in the Big East and they've racked up so far a good season.

I think Texas A&M will because everybody is expecting them to get to the eilite eight and lose. They have the best defense in the nation and have the best, not only clutch player Acie Law IV, but also the best 3-point shooter in Josh Carter. Many people think Acie is the Aggies only good player, but Antanas Kavilauskis,( i spelled that wrong for sure.) is the most improved player in the Big12 and Dominique Kirk is their Prime defender, holding his man to just 30% FG. Their main worry will be foul trouble with Joseph Jones and Antanas.

Georgetown Hoyas wouldn't be considered an upset if they made it to the final four. But if I had to choose a team that no one expects... I'd have to go with Virginia Tech.
