I heard on TV that there is now only a fraction of the amount of organ donors as we have had in the 70s and 80s. Apparently our roads, highways, and cars have gotten so safe to the point where there won't be enough donors.

In response to this, should we start making our highways more unsafe now through neglect?

more people should consider being an organ donor. one's death can possibly allow one or more people to continue to live.

It's unethical to go killing some people so that others can live. Although our roads may be safer, more people die from car crashes each year than from need of an organ transplant. The ratio of deaths/lives saved (due to road neglect) would be in the negatives.

And, now with increasing research in stem cell growth, we may have the answer to all those missing organs.

Problem solved. :)

No. Many more people should opt to donate their organs. I will be an organ donor and even if my body parts only help one person, that's more than if I didn't donate, at all.
