Do roaches travels from house to house in a neighborhood?

They can, especially if a neighbor does things like bomb their house and the houses are pretty close together. Bug bombs usually chase out more critters than they kill. German cockroaches, the small ones that infest homes in huge numbers, normally only have a range of about 12 feet form where they live, and most often only live indoors. American cockroaches(palmetto bugs) and smokey brown roaches, both large, like up to 2 inches long, fly and live outdoors as well as indoors. They are more commonly a neighborhood problem, and will move indoors searching for food, water and places to lay eggs.

I'm not sure if they actually walk out of one house and go to another house in the same neighbor hood but I do know they can travel from place to place on clothing or in purses, diaper bags, book bags, etc. Unfortunately they were introduced to my home by way of a bag of clothes someone gave me!!!!
I do imagine however that roaches will go to whatever area they can to find food and water.

If your neighbors house is a breeding ground for roaches, you will keep having problems. Best bet is to create a barrier inside and outside your house with common insecticides. Gold Bengal works good inside.

Oh Yes, you can buy combat and put it in you home. If they come to you home this will help. You and also buy them for ant's these little things are great.
