how does one define a gentleman?

Well if your judging them on how much there income is, you could probably do the judging of the shoes, but you cannot tell a gentlemen by the shoes, this is a personality trait. It could show a slight bit of his personality by what type of shoes he is wearing, that would be his preference, laid back, executive, work, ect.. but it doesn't describe if he is a gentleman per say.

lol, can you judge a book by its cover? a gentleman is someone who is honorable and well-bred (that means they were raised well not necessarily rich). so if a 7 year old country boy with almost nothing and a dingy look about him can show you the manners and respect of a 30 year old, how much better is he to fit the description of a gentleman than a 22 year old rich kid who has no respect or manners and treats you like dirt simply because he thinks he's a player?

no way, dog, never judge a book by it's cover. he may have to have some orthopedic shoes due to an accident that he had while riding a motor bike as a child, but be a nice gentleman, dog.

yes you can... the best way is, if u like his shoes.. he mathches yr frequncy of liking... u can try him out for long term... the rest is the keeping of the shoes.. if clean n well kept.. a managable person.. bettr chances of being along for long...

No way, if there was validity to this theory, then all guys who wear nice shoes are great and loving guys, but we all know this is baloney.

I think so. My shoes are always shined and my girlfriend noticed when I was flirting with her. She wasn't wrong.
