When I was about 10 they decided to change out the sand in the playground sand pit and they had dumped a huge pile of sand in a corner underneath my friend's apartment windows (she lived on the 3rd floor). We decided to jump out of the window and land in the mountain of sand. I get freaked out just thinking about it!

Never thought twice about eating a lot of candy and lemons.....my Grandmother, on the other hand, did not allow a lot of sweets.
I built houses and forts in trees and cardboard boxes, usually the big ones from the motor cycle shop down the alley from us.
I ate fruit, right from the tree, sometimes I thought to wipe it off, sometimes I didn't.
Played out in the sun, all day and never thought about the sun doing any damage to me. Never heard of sunscreen back then.
Halloween night, my sister and I would Trick or Treat for hours without being accompanied by our parent.
I didn't second guess, that God existed, or question my parent's decisions, or talk back to an adult, or disrespect my neighbors....some things never change, some change with become a responsible adult and the times.

a couple things actually!
*we use to climb this tree and hang out on top of our house.
*we use to crawl under the porch and get inside through a basement window. i could not do that now. Claustrophobia. It gives me chills just thinking about it.
we grew up on a farm, so we did some prety stupid stuff. our mom cringes when we tell her the things we did!

jumping off of high places .....of a cliff into water now I think if the water is deep enough is their something down in the water ... drive a little more recklessly do more drugs than I should all those great things

stay up all nioght without sleeping.
But I'm having a bit of a second childhood...I would NEVER ride on a motorcycle as a child now it's my primary mode of transportation....and I don't even own one. :-)
