I really like cows, but I'm mostly a city dweller. I've been invited to spend a few days at a friends' farm, and I just want to know a bit more before I try to pet her cows.

They are pretty docile. Just approach slowly and don't surprise them.

definite, it quite is risky by using fact a standing cow is wakeful and because she has huge ears, eyes with an very almost 360 diploma view and a keen sense of scent she will understand you're there in the previous you even get close. in case you attempt to sneak up in the back of or beside her you will get a hoof in the tummy. livestock sleep laying down with their legs folded under them. a common cow could probable not fee you till you have been threatening her toddler yet she could run from you and till you are able to run approximately 20 mph you are able to under no circumstances seize her. Cow tipping is a fantasy in simple terms like snipe searching.

Usually they are calm around people or afraid. They can be dangerous so give them their space. They are a prey animal and can repond to people as preditors (threat). Don't rush a mother cow with calf that sort of thing. Just give them a little repect and you should be fine. Some are even friendly and like people. I'd ask your friend, she knows which ones are nice and which to avoid.

Milk cow's are mostly harmless. Beef cow's can get a little rowdy but you should be alright. Just watch out for mama cow's, pregnant cow's and bulls

You should be fine, but don't allow yourself to get between a cow and something else (like a fence, car, etc.) because you could get squished, even if unintentional. Pay attention to your friends' advice.

P.S. I would, however, beware of the vampire cows.

Cattle are generally quite docile and not all that aggressive. However, your average cow is quite a bit bigger than you are. You need to be aware of them when in their presence because they may knock you over, stand on you or crush you against a wall/fence without meaning to. Especially at feeding time.

I have never heard of a cow harming anyone, but if they were to be abused by someone, I imagine they would try defending there self.

I doubt she will let you go near them if they are roudy. we had 2 new mamas, and the one butt headed my daughter while she was checking the status of the new calf.my daughter went flying, uninjured.A Bull is. Most steer and cow are okay, but if they have just become mamas, stay clear because as my daughter said,You never know what they will do.
