I always liked Preston, it sounds like a nice respectable young man. Cain is cute too but I would go with Preston.

I like Preston. It was actually a possibility for my son when we were looking at names. I ended up going with another name though. Another thing to consider is, how popular is the name. I didn't think that my son's name, which is Logan, was that popular until after he was born. I then found out that his name was the 10th most popular in 2006. One other thing to keep in mind, if you truly like the name, none of the other reason for choosing a name will really matter. Everyone has their reasons for choosing the names that they do. I chose mine because I liked the spiritual meaning, at the time I choose it it was not that common, it was based off a character from a movie/tv I loved, and because of it's origin. Good luck with what ever name your child. Congratulations!

I love the name Cain because it makes me think of a great guy, down to earth. Preston makes me think of a preppy, snobbish type of boy who thinks he's better than everyone else. (I'm sorry if anyone's name is Preston!!!)

Of those two? Preston. The name "Cain" has negative connotations associated with it. It's sort of like naming your baby "Adolf"
