Maybe I just freak myself out.

But is it possible that some girls cant use tampons?

i really need some help before i go crazy!!!!

It is normal to feel apprehensive about using tampons, but once you get the hang of it, it really is no big deal. Usually women who have trouble with tampons either have medical problems or just tense up so much that it is uncomfortable. I found a site that will help ease your mind a bit. (see below)

Give it a few tries. If you are tense, it will make things more difficult. Try the tips they have on that site. If you really just don't like the way it goes, try again on your next cycle. If that doesn't work, just start buying extra thin pads.

Good luck, you can do it!

It is possible that some girls can't/or don't want to wear tampons.

There really isn't anything to be scared about. You will never know if you like them or not until you try them. I have been using tampons for many, many years. I was scared at first but once I tried them I never went back to just wearing pads alone.

I felt the same way when I was a teenager. I didn't even try a tampon until I was 18, and when I did, I never looked back to pads. It really isn't as bad as you may think.

Start using the smallest size with a panty liner. Then, as you get more comfortable, you can 'upgrade' to a size that is good for your flow and you can dump the pads entirely.

Good luck.

My cousin is just like you. She wont wear a tampon, b/c it makes her nervous that she will somehow loose her virginity and she is 22!
I started using tampons at like 12 years old.. it was my second time.. and i was nervous, but i just did what the directions told me to.. and it was no big deal. The easier way is to stand up with one foot on the toilet. You feel a lot cleaner when you wear tampons vs. pads... and you can go swimming too.

not sure why you are scared to use a tampon. back in the 70's there was press about toxic shock syndrome being caused by tampons but as long as you remove them regularly, no problem with that.

I don't use tampons...they hurt like mad and they make me feel violated!
I think it might be possible that some girls can't. I'm one of them. Join the club?

if you've never used one before, try a junior/slim sized tampon...
Tampax makes one, so does Kotex.
Use one with a plastic applicator...it's easier.

Ok, enough of this for me, I'm going back to 'celebrities' !!!!

don't be scared a tampon doesn't hurt, and wat i found helpful is wen u r wearing a tampon also use a thin pantiliner just in case of a leak, it doesn't feel like ur wearing a diaper and they are totally comfterable.

just use the really slender ones and its an old wifes tale about losing your virginity! just try one and if ya don't like it take it out, just make sure ya insert it far enough or it will be uncomfortable too.ya won't even know its there. live a little, go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
