I think that Britney is very depressed and its so sad. I really hope she gets the help she needs. The media/papparazzi do not help the situation with the pressures she has and being a single mom of two young boys. I wish people would give her some respect and leave her alone to heal. She's obviously hurting very deeply and all we can do is pray for her...

She has become addicted to illegal drugs. There may even be a mental illness underlying the addiction and behavior, such as chronic depression or bipolar. The difference between Brittany and other young people is that her sordid young life is played out on national TV. This is a very sad story and I do hope she can become drug free and again find something useful in her life which means enough to her personally which will motivate her to regain self-respect.
I imagine that if she doesn't stay free for the 30 days she has agreed to, she will lose custody of her children just like other drug addicts do every day in the courts in our country. I see it on a regular basis and it is one of the most tragic uncovered news stories. People simply don't want to know about the epidemic of drug use among young women and mothers.

I think she has finally hit the wall that most "child" stars tend to run into.
She had been working from the age of 11 in the commercials and the Mickey Mouse Club, then recording albums, going on tours, having 2 stage parents (one not better than the other) living constantly under the glare of the paparazzi, been called home wrecker when she hooked up with K-Fedex, his callous behavior while she was pregnant with both babies, not providing any support during them(was seen out partying constantly).Just after the birth of the first child, his pushing her to go back to making music, her parents divorce, quickly having a second child, the stress and strain on the travesty of a marriage played out in the tabloids, her parenting skills called into question, then losing her favorite aunt to ovarian cancer last month.
I am actually surprised she did not snap before this

She wanted to, that's why. She got tattoos and shaved her head because she's pissed off and fed up. Stop hating and ignore her, if you want, she's just so fed up!

My personal opinion is that the poor thing has post partum depression. I'm not a fan of hers but I do feel for her.
