Yes. I ship a variety of packages through the mail. And send post cards and letters to various friends and family. It's nice to get something in the mail other than a bill or junk mail.

I strongly believe in mailing in resumes. Everyone Emails these days and employers are flooded with applications via computer. Not very many get an actual paper resume in the mail these days. I always get called back. It takes a few days but it's worth it.

Letters I do every now and then. Holidays and what not are average but for a surprise, I mail my girlfriend a nice card or letter or gift. It's always nice to get something in the mail.

I was at the post office yesterday. It's hard to mail a package electronically, and I drop letters in the box a few times a month.

Greeting-cards need to be sent by the Post for them to be meaningful and last. Same holds true for love-letters. You need hard-copy to hold it in your hand.

Also, if you value confidentiality then Post is the way to go because, unless you're using PGP or a similar encryption program, what's to say your e-mail can't be read by whoever?

I work in a private school, and they send a crate of mail out daily, at the ends/starts of terms that increases to 2/3 crates at least.
Personally, I still use 'snail mail' quite a lot, but then I enjoy writing letters, and I love to receive them too.
Hope that answers your question. :-)
