I had this same problem and it was bad. I could not even go places until my period was over because of how bad it got. You need to go back to your gyn/ob doctor as soon as possible. You probably need another type of birth control or strength. My problem was a prolapsed uterus which had to be taken out. The result of having four children. Good luck to you.

First of all, and I know you're not going to like this because I didn't. Stop wearing tampons! Second when was your last papsmear? Have you been checked for H. P. V.? The Pelvic Inflammetory Disease that causes Cervical Cancer. If you've been sexually active chances are you already have the H. P. V. and don't even know it. Eighty percent of the people in America have H. P. V. and it is transmitted thru sexual intercourse and there is know way of knowing from whom you contacted the disease if you have been sexually active with more than one person because almost everyone that has not been in a manogamous relationship, like grandma and grandpa way back when, has it. Men included because they're the ones that spread the virus. If you ever want children the best thing to do is talk with your health care professional about getting vaccinated for H. P. V. I wish they would a had the vaccination before I had to have a partial hysterectomy. I am 43 and will never have a child of my own because of H. P. V. Being on the pill does not prevent you from getting any type of sexually transmitted disease. You may know who you've been with but do you know who your partner has been with? Respect yourself, my child. Protect yourself. Use a condom at all times even during oral sex. And by all means speak with your health care provider immediately about the changes in your monthly period. They are the ones that will provide you with the best answer to your question.

That is not normal. I suggest going to a walk in clinic or even the hospital. Blood loss is serious.

With this much bleeding, you need to go to the ER immediately as this can lead to anemia. It's possible that you have developed a hormonal imbalance, of which a blood test would show.
