ski bike help???

i am in the process of building a ski bike (a bike that has skis in the place of the wheels) and instead of skis i am using a snowboard. but does anyone who has made it have any ideas on how to make it faster.

I suppose you could put some wax on the bottom of it, but perhaps that's obvious...

I'm afraid I haven't built one myself...

Do you know creeping ski?
