The fat, lazy, TV watching suburbanites with brains atrophied by the lack of mental activities who do not even know about the candidates they vote for; the irresponsible shoppers who charge everything on credit cards and do not save to prop up the economy; the arrogant, dummified students who cannot even find the US on the world map and who demand highest salaries when they graduate therebycausing US bosses to outsource jobs to India; the bosses who prefer hiring illegals over hiring legals because legals cost too much and have become a liability; the men and women who file a divorce at a drop of a hat thereby destroying the American family- all these are domestic enemies that are going to destroy the country if they have not destroyed it yet.

Long term divisiveness and intransigence is a sure way to destroy any society or community, because nothing will get done in the mean time.

The fault lies towards any group or individual who thinks that their own views are the only views and are unwilling to put differences aside and consider another's point of view. There are members IN BOTH PARTIES who hold such attitudes, giving each party a bad name.

Right now, our government needs a new party that won't necessarily cater to either the right or the left, but be truly in the middle of the road, and truly serving ALL SEGMENTS of society, not just the right, and not just the left, but EVERYONE!

Let's see if this country survives GWB before trying to lay the blame at someone else's feet. He, with the support of a republican congress took 6 years to do this much damage to the United States. because in a month and a half a democratic congress hasn't undone a whole lot of it, it's now somehow their fault? You must have great faith in democrats if you thought you would see results from them so quickly.
FYI: I'm a republican and I saw though Bush's propaganda when we were still it the 20th century. So did Mandela when he stated that the greatest threat to world peace is GWB.

The main issue that is destroying America is one of wealth distribution. As the super-rich pursue more and more wealth, that must come at the public's expense. Tax cuts for the rich are combined with cuts in social spending for the rest of society. As we feed the very profitable military industrial complex whose profits go to the super-rich, that must be accompanied by social spending cuts for the rest of society. As we pursue war-of-aggression and the wealthy-elite's desire to control and profit from the world's natural resources, the funding must come from public tax dollars -- and the bodies to fight and die must come from the working class. The ruling elite, like their predecessors in 1920s Italy and 1930s Germany, will attempt to resolve these contradictions between the capitalists and the working class by inflicting police-state, authoritarian fascism upon society. The Democrats are a right-wing party, many of whose members are increasingly former Republicans, that is complicit with all of the Bush crimes. It is not that they are powerless to stop Bush, but that they are largely in agreement with the class warfare pursuits of Bush and the neocons.
