I've found it at "Fast Food Nation" movie synopis. Some kind of Fast Food big company executive must resolve meat contamination in the company chain restaurants, and personally visits slaughterhouses, teeming feedlots and "cookie cutter strip malls," which is what I don't know what is the expression referring to. Any idea?

It means all malls have basically the same design and the same stores. Pretty soon you could walk down Main Street in any town and will look just like any other main street.

Cookie cutter means that they all strip malls are put up very quickly and all looking alike. When you use a cookie cutter, all the cookies look the same..

It means that it's a very simple design that the construction companies use over and over again so that these strip malls all look alike. meaning like a cookie they are cut all alike. Hope this helps you to understand the meaning.

It means that these strip malls have the same design, same stores, and they look exactly alike. I have noticed that in the Chicagoland area at several suburban strip malls.

It means they all look the same, with basically the identical businesses and retailers, wherever you are. Like they are all cut using the same "cookie cutter".

I think, in the 50's american suburbs where lots of 'homemaker' mothers used to live were often referred to as 'cookie-cutter' neighbourhoods..(I.E: they spent their days wafting about in aprons and big hair humming to themselves and making biscuits)

The malls are those big american shopping centres where they bought said biscuit cutters to make the biscuits with...

strip mall = big shopping centre.
Dunno...-possibly what it means.

(EDIT: felix above may be righter than me on this one.)
