Can't say specifically for Brighton as it's a city I'm not familiar with but throughout the UK you can take waste oil to household waste recycling sites where it can be properly disposed of.

Thanks very much for your offer. There's a small chance I'll be in Brighton this evening and would like very much to pick up your oil if I may. Please just leave it on your doorstep as I may be coming by sometime between seven and ten.
