Most viruses get on computers because the AV programs people are running are not doing the job they want:

Take a person running free AVG AV, this person is going to get lots of viruses because it a very poor AV program, where as a person who know this will back it up with free bitdefender will get less.

They can get on Computers in a variety of ways........

1) Cdrom: Let's say say Sally works at H+M Company she
brings in her music cdrom she doesn't know that her cdroms
music has a virus in it and boom the Companies Computers
get infected.

2) Installing warez programs that have rootkit in them or trojan
backdoors

3) Clicking on attachments in e-mail

4) Clicking on a sight through google that looks legit but is a
trap and has a dropper virus that will infect the Computer
the instant the user clicks on the link :(

nicely.. for a stupid question you may get a stupid answer. please persist with those steps a million. purchase kaspersky and norton information superhighway secure practices 2. run the kaspersky on ur pc and do a test 3. delete the virus 4. now eat the norton disc 5. run a virulent disease test [do this purchase leaping up and down] 6. delete the virus [shrink of your left ring finger] 7. flow to the well-being center and tell them you shrink off your finger 8. if the physician fixes your finger you basically ruined the entire technique 9. relax for 6 days 10. now you would be ok

when u use an .exe file the virus will spread all over your computer in a mater of seconds and details frm your computer will b sent to either hackers or keyloggers which can get ur details wen u do things like online banking hope dis helped :-)

viruses are executable files, and mostly they come with autorun files so that it will run automatically even without the permission of the user.. they come with files like autorun.. but if you got a good antivirus.. one that is updated, you can be assured that those viruses wont get passed your system.. beware also of malicious scripts.. scripts that meddle with your system.. some anti virus also come with script stopper.. mcafee has one..
