For all you Drew Bashers Xaiver Lee had surgrey on his arm and isn't as good as he used to be. Also Drew was coach by a quarter coach who couldn't get Drew to his Full potiental.

They're going to battle it out in the spring and the best man will get the job. Technically, Drew had a great freshman year but, with a year of experience under his belt, including the VA Tech win for the ACC championship and a great bowl game against Penn St, he should have been a better QB his sophmore year. He seemed to lose his confidence and poise. That's where Xavier stepped in and had some decent performances but also not enough to make him a clear cut starter. Drew is a more tradional QB who has a great mind for the game. Xavier is a better athelete and can be a dangerous double threat with his legs. The bottome line is that, considering they were the 2 best QBs of thier class, one of them has to mature THIS YEAR and make ESPN highlight reels or it will continue to be a downward spiral for the Noles. There's no great QB in the wings to hope for like when Rix was the scapegoat. There's also not enough talent on the ground for defenses to be concerned with as #1 RB Antoine Smith hasn't proven himself as the back everyone anticipated. Add to that a sub-par recruiting class this year and the Noles aren't in the drivers's seat like they were throughout the 90's. The silver lining in this is that the Noles decline is directly related to the coaching loses at the end of the '00 season, losing the championship 13-2 to OK. With the coaching changes, I beleive they still have enough talent to win any given Saturday. This could spark teh swagger they seem to have been missing since collapsing all the great records that stood for years and catapult the Noles back into national prominence. PS: I wouldn't sweat the recruiting this year. If history is any indication, many highly touted HS players are mediocre in college and the same from college to pro. Remeber, the game is 50% mental, and having the best mind in the game as Head Coach and a great supporting class means you can never count them out.

For the record, I think the '99 Championship team can be argued as the best team of all time. Wire to wire #1 beating Miami, UF and a Michael Vick lead VA Tech handily

Drew will be the qb. Now, sutherguy4u-- What country were you in last year where they did not have college football? Miami is and has been thug u since the early 80's; further , last year they were not only thug u but became a laughing stock when the school president dismissed the all out, helmet swinging brawl with FIU as a minor incident and quoted "we have great, respectable kids at Miami." As for Bobby Bowden being washed up, lets speak with intelligence. Bobby has not called plays in over a decade. He is utilized as a motivator, a teacher, and especially as, probably the country's best recruiter of all time. FSU has hired a new OC, running back coach, offensive line coach, wide receivers coach, and defensive assistant. They will be back to form in 2008. See you later. (or for sutherguy, hasta luego)

Michael L obviously your the one in the dark. I live in Tally and my Dad is a long time Tally police officer and aggravated batteries, sexual assaults, pages of DUI'S,public drunk and resisting arrest just to scrape the surface are alot worse than a fight on the field during the heat of the game. The majority of these are never published because of FSU's influence to protect their star thugs. And no i'm not talking over the past 30 yrs, all these and more over the last 3 years.

Has everybody ever seen X play? I observed the two in highschool, and have seen them now in prepare and in college for the previous 3 years. Drew has constantly out finished X. X has a cannon for an arm and runs a 4.5 yet that would not make him a sturdy QB. His of completion % has constantly been below 50% and he has a greater physically powerful INT in step with bypass ratio than Drew. Drew can no longer throw it 75yards yet we've by no skill had a reciever who could desire to run a 75yd fly trend in 6 seconds (popular length of a play). that could desire to require a fifteen step drop. Weatherford is greater consistent and makes greater advantageous judgements, thusly each coach who has seen the two has opted for Drew. You "followers" or "experts" are basically in love with the certainty that X has a single letter nickname and is black. that would not make him sturdy. He has a decrease triumphing %, of completion %, and NO reason for his cleats to the touch the sphere. Jeff became a million/2 retarded and could desire to tell Drew became greater advantageous and now the "offensive genius" Jimbo Fischer is of an analogous opinion. Can all of you people who do no longer do no longer know **** with reference to the sport close the hell up and open up your eyes. by utilising the way, Rix could desire to launch it 70yds as nicely and became unquestionably swifter than X (4.39 40yd), and each physique recollects how sturdy he became maximum appropriate? X is in hassle-free terms a black Rix, athletic to no end without experience of a thank you to play his place. Oh, yet I forgot... he became white and X is black. Drew is the well known McPherson, greater accuracy much less athleticism (a 4.6 40 as adversarial to a 4.5... slow maximum appropriate? examine the 22yd scramble). And in case you forgot approximately X's indescretions enable me remind you of ultimate twelve months's standout 3 INT performances against Duke and Wake! heavily X's lone maximum suitable (or perhaps sturdy) sport became a loss to an inferior Maryland group.

drew will be and should be the qb, for no other reason than he has more experience than lee...of course, drew had better get it on track quickly at the beginning of the season because bobby bowden had a quick hook with him last year starting in that wake forest game where both of them looked like backup high school qbs

It will not matter till FSU stops letting their players commit crimes, break team rules and generally get away with anything without being punished. By the way, sitting out the first series in a game does not constitute punishment.
