When you reformatted, you lost the video driver. You will need to reinstall it. If you have the applications and drivers disk, it should be there, if not, you can find it on the PC mfg site or the video card mfg site.

Verify that the s video cable is working by connecting it to a vcr or dvd player and then to your television. You will need at least a television to plug the cable into from your computer. Once you know that the cable is functioning, then you can hook it back up to your video card. Now you will need to right click on your desktop (be careful not to click on an icon, just an open area of the desktop) and look for the graphics card name on the list. On mine it says Nvidia Display. Then it shows my monitor, and you can select that and you will see that it should show the main box of force tv detection. If this does not help, check your instruction book that came with the card, of if you know the name of the card, you can go to the website of that manufacturer. If you do not know it, then do a search on the 'net for Sandra software. It is free and tells you important info about your pc.
