how do you put those little icons in your questions?

does anyone else just see a vertical line (like an I) everywhere that people type hearts? Maybe its just because I have a mac...but maybe thats why you can't get the hearts and such. Mac's don't have an alt key.

I think it is an Alt-xxxx where x is a four digit number that must be entered via keypad, not the numbers abouve the letters. you can do a start run charmap to see the list of ascii codes.

Just checked it must be the keypad. It's a pain on a laptop lol

Start > Programs>Accesssories>System tools> Character map
There you just find the ones you want, then copy and past them where ever you want. ( Yes you can get more then just the hearts there. Just use the drop down menu on there and select different fonts cause some fronts don' have any good symbols. You can mix and match too, just copy and past them.) I'm not sure on all the keyboard shortcuts for each one.)

Hearts - Alt+3.
Then, try Alt+ different numbers for different things.

I been here /done this and it was so frustrating! Finally Someone helped me by saying not every browser or connector will allow it. When I log in on AT&T dsl,it won't work and I get?instead of a heart....but if I log in on Internet explorer, it does work!
