Since cricket is a game of uncertainties as has been proved on many occasions, nothing can be predicted for sure about the outcomke of a tournament in advance.
While South Africa and Australia are hot favourites top win the world cup, even their victory cannot be guaranteed as the present form does not matter and what matters is the form during the world cup. Whichever country play to their potential consistently stand a chance to win the world cup. As it stands all the top 8 teams sgtand a chance to win the world cup[.

By far the performance of Austrialia is the best and the chance of them win r very high, the second team to qualify is south africa, but cricket is afunny game and as seen in some worldcups the chance have change, Remember the time pakistan won the worldcup to many up and downs and the won the cup and became the chaimps, even other teams performance were better then them at that time.
