fullerenes are isotopes of carbon(others are diamond and graphite)...they were discovered in 1985.....they have large number of carbon atoms arranged to form structure of soccer ball(C-60) or of rugby ball(C-70).....it is found in interstellar dust...the name of C-60 is buckminster fullerene...kept aftr name of archtect buckminster who used pentagonal and hexagonal rings in structures....such structures are also present in C-60

fullerenes are great molecular constructions made of important number of carbon atoms . C60 is one of the most known. they can be used as nanomaterial. They can catch small molecules
