He was also a historian and philosopher.

He is reputed to have written the Anabasis, the Hellenica, the Cyropadia, the Hipparchicus, and several other treatise on military related topics. He is also reputed to have written The Memorabilia of Socrates in defense of Socrates. He is also a very unapologetic Athenian.

Usually you don't find the answer in the question, but maybe this question came out of the Teacher's Guide by accident, and the answer was included with it...lol.
