I have an epox EP-8KTA3L+ motherboard andi just updated my bios. The first booting disc is the CD ROM, and the DVD ROM is the secondary master. The first Slave is the CD ROM, and it's OK.

You will have to swap the cables for the CDROM and DVD if you want it to boot from the DVD.

This will probably help you. First you can set BIOS to select the DVD ROM as the drive to try first. Start your BIOS and select the start up options, and then pick that drive. Don't forget to save your changes by hitting F-10.
