I would like it to have a twist...its only 1000-1500 words. I have thought about it for a while but I'm just not coming up with anything. Any random ideas to throw out there for me?

Do something with the current issues in the world. May be environment protection.

you could write about an adventure about going on a trip inside someones body ( My kids were just watching the magic school bus LOL)
you could also write about being a dog for a day... you woke up one morning as your dog..or cat....

Write about something you know about... most authors do that so it's a good way to write.
