There are over 1 million people enslaved in the Sudan alone. Why has there been little if any mention of this in the headlines? If a white man in calif. was found to own 1 black slave, it would be front page news in every newspaper around the world, right? Why wont anyone do anything about the rampant slavery on the African continent?

There is black slavery in the Sudan because it's Muslims enslaving those who refuse to convert. The Christians in the Sudan are starting to get help but it's on a small scale.

With all that's going on with Muslims in the world the politicians don't want to aggravate the Muslims any more than they are.

No, slavery of any kind is WRONG! There is also child slavery going on through the United Arab Emirates and nothing is being done about that either.

There is slavery right here in the States. We must solve our own problems before we tackle others.

"The American Anti-Slavery Group is a U.S.-based non-profit dedicated to the abolition of modern day slavery. While many believe that the slave trade ended some time ago, there are still over 27 million people held in bondage today.

In addition to chattel and sex slaves throughout Africa and parts of Asia, there are cases of human trafficking documented in affluent neighborhoods in the United States.

Slavery isn't history. It's a modern human rights crisis that has only begun to be addressed. Learn more about this grave injustice and find out what you can do."

Because in reality, no one truly cares about Black on Black crimes. We are expected to act a certain way or do a certain thing by many. We ourselves haven't cried out about the grave injustices practiced in the Sudan. Why should anyone else care? As far as a slave master in California owning a black slave, that's fictitious and would surely take a whole army to enforce. Anyway let's cry out first about the Sudan, then we'll see who lends their voices to our chorus!

no its not ok, watch hotel rowanda, as a example, its more about tribes fighting each each, it has adpated from history of slaves, from the white man, now those in poorer countries think its allowed, so really the white man started slavery, so he is indirectly responsible. If the white man and his country left africa alone, with thier gold and oil and wealth then maybe things would be different, people would be fighting for objects rather than with lives, who knows i cant say!!!!

the western world feel its not important, they have nothing to gain if they help, (its always about gaining and money) but what i would say to them all is that it is those western countries that created poverty in Africa SO YES THEY SHOULD fit them problem, if it wasnt for slavery, i know for example that England wouldnt have most of the things it has, such as Banks like Bar -cleys as an example!!

For one element, Indentured servants agreed to be slaves for a sequence time to pay for his or her voyage. additionally, many white people (Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, Italian, Greek, and so on.) have been taken as slaves for the time of historic previous via various cultures (Romans, Gauls, Celts, Vikings, North Africans, Persians, and so on.) slavery has affected basically approximately all western cultures for a million,000's of years till these days. we could desire to flow forward and forgive, yet in no way forget approximately. I agreed however, that we could desire to talk approximately all of it in historic previous instructions.

Slavery is horrible no matter what the skin color. We don't see too much in the headlines about Africa because we have our own issues in the US. It is horrible I know.
