Send them to me for free and then I will sell them on Ebay and keep the money. Sound good? Great, it's a deal!

You could give them to a charity like a thrift store.. but your going to need to make sure you delete the content on the Hard Drive if there is any thing of importance... cc #'s bank accounts... etc.
Not just putting your files in the recycle bin but use a good scrubbing program like http://dban.sourceforge.net/
Also you might find a person that may want your old equipment to run linux or create a firewall .... try your local FreeCycle chapter:

You can try GoodWill, they might take them if they are in working order. Just take all the files that you do not want others to get a hold of. If they do not want them, then check with any church organization they would more than likely take them. If they do not, then they would be likely candidates for being recycled if that is an option. If you live in Michigan and close to me, then I would be happy to purchase them, since I rebuild and repair computers for people.

Check schools or other organizations in your area to see if they want them. It's better to donate to the kids then to throw them away. Contact your town/village personnel for such organizations.

Yes do donate them. To delete your files install a free LINUX distribution on the computer. After you have installed, leave the CD with the computer for the next owner.
Depending on the memory install XUBUNTU, DAMN SMALL Linux or PUPPY Linux.

Take your pick from this little lot - recycle is better than throwing computers away :-)
