Because we are attractive. Think of it, smooth, soft brown skin, jet black glossy hair, kissable lips, nice curves more huggable than the best stretch of road... big expressive dark eyes more beautiful than the darkest night.... sexy soulful rolling voice...the way our hips move when we walk...

Yes. White men are attractive to black women. I think white men are secretly attractive to black woman. I think some white guys are afraid of what their family, friends and society will say. Some are scared to date or marry a black women so they do the next best thing and marry Asian women. Many white women have just as much of a problem with white men having black women on their arms as some black women do when they see black men with white women. The only different is that white women are a little less vocal about it.

I honestly dont see any relevance of the shade of someones skin in love, work or any other section of life. I have looked at black girls i have looked at white, but to actually settle with someone and get into a relationship requires them to have a beautiful soul to me - and that requires getting to know them. What is truly sexy in a woman for me is her mind and her will, intelligence and determination any women with those qualities make my knees wobble lol

i think there used to be a perception that white men and black women dont fancy each other. i dont know whether thats altogether true today, all my black female friends meet lots of white men. One of my black friends (and she is a dark skinned woman) finds it easier meeting white men than black men!!! She is dying to meet more black men.
also there have been numerous posts on yahoo answers on this issue (more than i care to see actually lol) which also seems to indicate that this is not altogether true.
But i am interested in the stats you referred to - can you post them? the source?

I think it is more usual for black men to date white women than it is for black women to date white men. Its more common now for white men to date black women. I've dated white and black men, and my bf at the moment is white. I know of stats which indicate that in the UK 50% of black men date white women. Don't know of any stats about white males. Some white men see black women as "exotic" , others have been heavily influenced by the r'n'b video culture, for others its just that they find you attractive.

I'm a 36 y/o white male, and I find black women attractive. I think Queen Latifah is very pretty, Mary J Blige, Beyonce and a list of others.

I am sure they do - why wouldn't they? Attractiveness isn't about skin colour - it's about the person. The myth about black men is just that. Slave owners used to tell their womenfolk stories about black men to scare them so that they wouldn't go there. (Although I think they were a bit naive in telling them that black men had big dongs - of course they wanted to find out!)

You think....I think it's the body types and you always want something different...but I think you may be looking into this too much because everyone's different you like what you like....I see tons of white girls with black dudes....so ...who knows.

Well, I can tell you a lot about this.......for some reason, no matter where I go white men ALWAYS are flirting with me, and I actually was engaged to a white guy for 2 years and still love him till this day. l like the fact that they always break their necks taking a double take. forget statistics white men really like me!
