They are starving to death, and no one seems to be worried. They are large land mammals. So are humans. They aren't the only species that are becoming endangered, and why aren't people paying attention? This is some scary stuff. Are people in denial or do they just not care? People seem to worry about what happened to Anna Nicole Smith's dead body instead.
There is a rally on March 20th in Washington DC for the polar bears, but I can't go. :(

Oh, I did check my facts. To you irresponsible ostriches who are hiding your heads in the sand (about this AND the fact that GLOBAL WARMING EXISTS), check this out. If you dare. PS: And, I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh's butt pucker like you parrots do.

The loss of sea ice caused the polar bear population in Western Hudson Bay to decline from approximately 1,200 bears in 1987, to 1,100 bears in 1995, and then to fewer than 950 bears in 2004.

Your facts are incorrect. National Geographic commissioned a research team in the last year to do a census and the population is estimated to have quadrupled in the last decade. Scientists are quite pleased.

Polar bears are not starving to death! If you would bother to get facts instead of listening to Dr. Al Gore, the renown meteorologist, scientist, and fiction writer, you would know that they are thriving. Polar bears are excellent swimmers and move on to another area, then return again.

People don't care because polar bears are one of the only animals in the world that will prey on humans unprovoked.
They look cute and cuddle in pictures, but polar bears are mean mo' fo's to deal with.
Thank God there are no Polar Bears where I live!!

Because Polar Bears - while quite nice and cuddly have nothing to contribute to the Republican's society!
Especially since they do not have any oil that the Republicans can steal!

There are two schools of thought here.
The first is from the rich western societies. Who cares what happens to anything outside our borders, as long as we are still living in high standards.
The second is from the rest of the world where people are stricken down with wars, poverty, malnutrition, diseases, etc. Who cares about animal survival if we can't survive ourselves!
