15? Its 16 - what country are you in? In the United States the first state to adopt compulsory education until the age of 16 was Massachusetts in 1852 and by the end of the 19th century every state of the United States had done the same.

You dont say where you live, so I don't know what country you are meaning, I am in Scotland and left school in 1965 at the age of 15.It was 15 for a while before I left.

I only know it was pre 1950's I went to school in the 50's and it was 15yrs but both my parents left in the late 30's at 14yrs.

I like what we have in Tennessee. You don't have good grades. No Driver;s License. You don't graduate, no Driver's License till you are 18.

So why do you think people are too smart to continue school?
