means that you have to be there at 9:50 AM June the 5th. (or 3 hours ahead of takeoff).

Correct!
Be mindfull of traffic problems b4 getting there, que's @ airport security etc, Don't forget the stuff you not allowed to take onboard! or you'll loose it right there.
Be sure to take passport/s etc

To be sure that you will board the flight for there might be traffic congestion.and the luggage to be checked.
