My new home came with brushed nickel light fixtures and hardware. All my accent pieces are antique gold. I've looked everywhere with no luck to find a suitable refinish paint. Any ideas? I envision platinum, but all I can find is a tacky silver and a shiny crome spray paint. I know I can get silver foil sheets, but does anyone know where I can locate the rub on touch up silver accent paint?

No the two don't go together. Have you tried Lowes. I believe that I have seen it there. Also, I think Rustoleum (not sure on the spelling) has a realistic nickel looking paint.

bahahah There was a competition to cross the English channel doing only the breaststroke, and the three women who entered the race were a brunette, a redhead and a blonde. After approximately 14 hours, the brunette staggered up on the shore and was declared the fastest. About 40 minutes later, the redhead crawled up on the shore and was declared the second place finisher. Nearly 4 hours after that, the blonde finally came ashore and promptly collapsed in front of the worried onlookers. When the reporters asked why it took her so long to complete the race, she replied, "I don't want to sound like I'm a sore loser, but I think those two other girls were using their arms..."

Rustoleum sells a spray paint line that gives flat metal and hammered metal effect, sold at WalMart, Home Depot.
The rub on paint is available in both stores and craft stores in the stencil craft or faux finish section.

I think the gold frames would look nice with the nickel.
This is an age where even the designers use different things and not have a room 'match'. They pair antiques with new furniture. Painted with bare wood. etc.

It would give it a very contempary style and add some interest. I know that I would and will try that in my own home. Thanks

I would not put brushed nickel with antique gold. don't get rid of the gold...get rid of the nickel.
