The real question is, what wasnt done wrong?

Yes in the start we had a decent some what considerable reasoning to go. But when it started getting dangerous, we should have pulled out, before we were too deep.

But no. That would have hurt good old bush's ego.

He needs to get off his War happy power trip.

Yes Iraq was a mistake... a complete mistake... one of the biggest mistakes in American history.

There are several reasons:

1. We are supposed to live in an advanced, civilized country that hs progressed past the days of barbaric occupations such as the Romans did. Bush did just as the Romans did... invaded, conquered and occupied Iraq just because we 'could' and no other reason.

2. Bush knew the intelligence was fraudulent. He knew it was doctored and he still took it to Congress, the UN and the American ppl. Lying to your country should be considered treasonous.

3. Horrific acts have been committed in our supposed 'honorable' country... Bush used rendition to have prisoners tortured in countries such as Egypt that allow torture. He has also repeatedly violated the Geneva Convention by not allowing the Red Cross access to some of them, keeping some prisoners unregistered and in secret prisons and not charging them with war crimes. Even POWs in Vietnam were allowed to be visited by family, the press and sometimes politicians.

Initially, the invasion of Iraq was correct in order to topple Saddam Hussien from power as a dictator who support terrorists. However, to stay in Iraq and support a government not wanted by the people is already wrong for President Bush.

Everyone agreed when we went into Iraq that it was the right thing to do. There is no easy way to get out. Give Bush some slack.

The mistake wasn't going there and removing Saddam. It was how it was done and what happened afterwards. But then you never know if the egg is rotten until you crack the shell.

The question is how would John Kerry or Al Gore gotten rid of Saddam.

I worry about folks like you. what are you going to do after Jan 09. You won't have Bush to bash and who ever is in there probably won't have any GOOD answers for the situation either.

The media likes to say that Iraq had nothing to do with terrorist, but that has been proven wrong with training camps in Iraq...we had to go into Iraq....the only thing I think we did wrong was not going in hard enough and our leaders caving in to pressure from the media that was anti American.....we should have gone in with everything we had....the media would have had a field day, but they are having one now anyway.......

you need to ask the kurds if iraq was a mistake...you see saddam was in the process of wiping them from the face of the earth via ethnic cleansing when we stopped him. also dont forget the mindless torture of a large amount of citizens of other races. im sure you d get an earful....no war is perfect, no war is pretty, im sure there were wrong things but whats the alternative, another wtc....the pelosi cut and run will only ensure that.

Iraq was not a mistake. The coalition did what was necessary.
The President is wrong about border security and about treating illegal immigrants as anything other than criminals.

It was not a mistake when one remembers what was done to our twin towers! Terrorists will never listen to reason, cannot become non terrorists and will only understand a big hit like they gave. This America is worth fighting for and I would rather we do it there than here!
