Trying to control children and children that dont want to be told what to do...a bit of give and take.

Parent-child conflict usually comes from the parent not being a parent, not instilling strong values and teaching the child the difference between good and bad. I can't even say parenting is a hard job. My children were never grounded, were never smacked and there never was a conflict that couldn't be talked out. Can you believe some fathers are actually jealous of their sons and don't want them to succeed! Parents that are more concerned about having someone in their bed make the worse parents. If you can't stay married to the one you once loved what makes you can be a good parent. You haven't a clue what to teach them. Any child with step siblings will be screwed up. Any child growing up with out both parents in their life will be screwed up All because of the parents.

Lack of understanding and wantig to make an effort to see the other's point of view. If both try hard to summon love and
compassion - which should be easy between parent and child -
most differences can be resolved.

The biggest, easiest to prevent problem in families today....."Inconsistancy".......
Too many times the "rules" are'nt enforced...then suddenly are applied again....this causes confusion and disrupts everything....the parent loses control...the kid rebels...(totally preventable)
To resolve?.......Do what you say.....Say what you mean

A leader without respect, has no control at all.
Enforcing rules is NOT about getting violent or "losing it."
"Respect" does NOT mean give the child all they want.
Do give everyone the chance to be heard. (no interrupting)
