why do I get a very dry throat whilst running? Does everybody get this?

That could be from the air drying out your airway while you are breathing. Try taking water with you and stop to take a drink when it feels dry.

That is because when you run you need more oxygen and you tend to breathe with your mouth as well as your nose to take in more oxygen. yes, I get this. It's because we're breathing through our mouths instead of our noses.

You can carry water with you, or chew gum while you're running...

In the winter especially, keep your mouth shut or wear a mask.

um yea i get that too. wen i run wen its cold or the air is brisk it dries out my throat. im not a dr so i couldnt tell u the EXACT cause but idk i think thats basically it. they accually say u should breath through ur nose but i breath through my mouth... which results in a dry throat. idk jst drink fluids thats wat i do to get rid of it. hope it helped
