How long would it take for the substance to leave your body if you did not smoke on a regular basis.

It can take up to 10 days in an occasional user and 30 days in a regular user.

Here's a tip that may help. DON'T smoke it. Cannabis causes mental problems particularly depression and paranoia also schizophrenia! Additionally it causes physical brain damage including brain shrinkage. I often wonder if that is a greater risk since logically it would be people whose brains are smaller in the first place that would be stupid enough to abuse their bodies in this way.

Depends on
1. what substance are u taking
2. which way do you wish to avaoid detection.

1. Some substances have a half life of 1 week which means they may take months to be completely out of the system.
2. Now what are you afraid of- detection by mother/wife...I'd say 12 hrs is enuff, by police in case you break traffic light- 2-3 days or 7 days is enuff, if u r a murder suspect-2 months and so on...

Well, as a regular smoker, everytime you smoke another joint, the good effects of not smoking just come back. In the first 24 hrs, there are positive effects such as your lungs starting
to clear, however, weed stays in your blood for up to two weeks after smoking a joint

if you do not smoke weed on a regular basis and only took a couple hits then it would only be in your system for 3weeks.it wont come out in your urine but if you were to take a blood test then it would show up.

1-2 months.

However traces of it will still remain in your hair - until you have a haircut.
