I'm a new mom to an infant and have a two year old. I've been a stay at home mom for two years and would like to begin homeschooling my daughter. Is it too early to begin homeschooling a two year old? What are some recommendations for Christian curriculums?

I don't think it's ever to early to develop a child's mind! You could try to look for infant's books and bibles with tons of pictures; children like that! You can also check the curriculum for a local Christian school for pre-schoolers and get some great ideas. There are also projects you can find in oriental trading catalogues centered on Christianity that you can do with your daughter. She may not understand ALL of it, but believe me, she will absorb everything over time and learn to love God and love learning. Great idea! :)

A two year old should not be forced into a formal schooling situation or a formal curriculum. In the early years, play is how children learn.
There are things you can do with her though:

Read age-appropriate books out loud to her.- This will help her language development

Finger-painting, playing with blocks, playing with a water or sand table ( or playing with water in the kitchen sink- these will help her develop fine motor skills

Playing outside or going to a park and just letting her climb and run and jump will help her gross motor skills and physical fitness. You can also do things at home like sing nursery rhymes that have hand motions (I'm a Little Teapot, for example), or putting in a Wiggles CD and dancing along.

Expose your child to as many people and places as possible. This will help her learn to interact with people, and will give her a wider view of the world. It's better for her to learn what a squirrel is because she saw one at the park rather than seeing one in a cartoon. She can learn what a giraffe or elephant looks like from a book, but if you take her to the zoo, she'll take in more and understand the size of different animals.
Going to the local zoo or aquarium- get a membership so you can go back often!

You can get them some interactive stuff, but I don't think they're ready for formal "home schooling".

All parents encourage (or should) their 2-yr-olds to learn, even if they're not ready for formal schooling.

There are no "curriculums" for 2 year olds. If you want to do teaching of Christian concepts, just introduce them through books and such. There's no "curriculum" for someone that age.

Does he know his alphabet, colorations, numbers? you could initiate having him study hassle-free notice- canines, cat, fowl, and have him see it, write, it use it in a sentence. Have him reproduction cat what you write so he can get use to the form of letters, whether he would not know what they mean yet. As he writes, tell him that that's latter A, B, Z.
