taking the messenger as a God is not a good idea. Prayer and worship should be reserved for God and God only.

Jesus Christ himself never plainly said he was God - his deeds and sayings, however confirmed or rather showed that he is indeed God.

In the book of Hebrews, the writer clearly reveals Jesus as God. In the Gospel of John, the writer reveals Jesus as God. In the epistle of John, the Holy Spirit, the Word and the Father are shown to be one. The Word being none other than Jesus Christ.

So, it is not wrong to worship him. If it were wrong, the Lord Jesus would have stopped those who worshiped him during his earthly visitation - but as it is he did not. So, what he allowed then, he also allows it now - since he changes not.

I John 5:7 For there are 3 that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus, the word made flesh John 1:14), and the Holy Spirit ; and these three are one. If you love and worship God, you must also love and worship Jesus. It is hard for us to understand, but Jesus was God coming to us in a fleshly body, but created from God's spirit. We can't expect to put what God does in our little boxes of possibilities. He can do more than we can even fathom or understand.Read and study the whole chapters above and you will begin to get a better understanding of this.

God is a jealous God and abhors people worshiping false gods. We see Jesus who is God (The lamb of God) being worhipped by all of creation, Revelation 5:13 to 14 Says.
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing to him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power for ever and ever! The four living creatures said Amen and the elders fell down and worshiped.

He also implied to the Jews in the Gospels he was God when he said he was one with the Father, which is why the Jews eventually crucified him, because of this claim.

In Islam, Jesus is considered one of God's most-beloved and important prophets and the Messiah (Christ).

Jesus was born without a biological father to the virgin Mary, by the will of God (in Arabic, Allah) and for this reason is referred to as Isa ibn Maryam (English: Jesus son of Mary), a matronymic (since he had no biological father). (Qur'an 3:45, 19:21, 19:35, 21:91) In Muslim traditions, Jesus lived a perfect life of nonviolence, showing kindness to humans and animals (similar to the other Islamic prophets), without material possessions, and abstaining from sin. Most Muslims believe that Jesus abstained from alcohol[citation needed], and many believe that he also abstained from eating animal flesh. Similarly, Islamic belief also holds that Jesus could perform miracles, but only by the will of God. However, Muslims do not believe Jesus to have divine nature as God nor as the Son of God. Islam greatly separates the status of creatures from the status of the creator and warns against believing that Jesus was divine (Qu'ran 3:59, 4:171, 5:116-117).

Muslims believe that Jesus received a gospel from God called the Injil in Arabic that is the Christian New Testament. It assumes that it is misinterpreted and therefore calles Jesus as a God.

The Messiah affirmed His divinity in many places. John 8:58 is one clear example. since He is YHVH (It is a "family name") it is appropriate to worship Him. It is NOT APPROPRIATE to call the Messiah "Jesus". That is a name of a heathen god, which is expressly prohibited in Exodus 23:13. "Iesus" "Zeus" even "god" are all bad words. The Savior's name is YAHOSHUA! (It is a bit odd, but really isn't all that bad to get used to.) There is no other name by which a person may be saved (Acts 4:12)! so get with the program of salvation!
