Yeah well I got to sneak up on dogs as I am a dog catcher for the area part time (find them homes, but they're vicious sometimes and hide of course.)

I am a new dogcatcher assistant, began last week and am also an exotic food lover. I began thinking about chemicals when I smelled these foods sometimes in my urine. Any manner to become odorless for being a dog catcher?

Safety so dont smell to bears etc either. Thanks

Try Tomato, basils, spinach & parsley. It won't make you odorless to dogs, but at least they can make you smell more natural.

DO NOT EAT OR DRINK DOG'S MEAT OR BLOOD!!!
They can sense it and attack you viciously.

Owen, I have recently been researching a problem with my dog. Although she hasn't started eating her feces yet she may at some point. This may not a behavorial problem no matter what a Vet or anyone else may tell you and you should not punish your pet for it. This sounds as if it could be a sympton of Cushing's Disease (A pituitary or glandular tumor which confuses or disturbs the animal). You may want to do some further research on it and get it to a Vet ASAP and have them do blood work to make sure. This is a very serious disease. I know. My dog is suffering with it now. I am going to try homeopathic remedies with her because I have found that the allopathic meds (chemo) could kill her within hours of administering. PLEASE have your pet checked. You may have to be very persistant with your Vet because most of them overlook this symptom as being only behavorial. Do your homework before you go to the Vet. Knowledge is your best defense. Pacing, Anxiety, Excessive Water Drinking, Ravenous Eating, Feces Eating, or any other unusual signs that may appear COULD be signs of Cushing's Disease. I pray this is not the case but you do need to have your pet checked.

Dogs have an acute sense of smell compared to humans, so it really doesn't matter what you eat. Dogs do not like garlic and cayenne pepper, it repels them (think pepper spray).

At your local sporting goods store, they have sent masks that hunters use. In addition, on line or in hunting magazines they have laundry soaps, bar soaps and other items to "mask" scents.

Good luck. I am a hunter and an organic gardener.

Hahahaha. Are you serious? If you are, no I don't think so. You just need to make sure you don't smell like other dogs or perfume, or laundry detergent, etc. If you want them to fear you, try some wolf urine on your shoes.

Actually, I don't think there is anything to keep you from smelling to dogs. Dogs actually smell the skin flakes that fall off your body. That's how they can track a person.
