I have always been a believer in a higher power, never brought up in a religious family, have been to clairvoyants and am quite intuitive myself as well as being a lovely person. I know people who are "christians" but do the most obsurd and judgemental things ever!!! and then preach to me about the lord and me becoming saved etc....why do they impose this on people especially when they are talkn through"god"....??? Confused.!

No one talke through God, God chooses who He talks though. Many will come in HIs name, but the true test, is does what they say line up with His Word? Many people think they are saved and remain in the spirit( the spirit being in control, versus they themselves being in their own flesh) by their former righteousness. The Bible says this is not so. There is a big difference between being saved, and walking in the Spirit. People are deceived into believing that by accapting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savoir, that they are somehow righteous. None are righteous, no, not one. It is because of our carnal flesh nature being absolutely weak to sin(which is lawlesness- God is the law) that we are in need of a Savior. To remain in the Spirit of God, is a second by second battle. Those who impose their doctrine on you, do not do so on the behalf of God. God does not need them to talk to you. God instills the knowledge of Himself in each and every one of us. You are instructed not to harden your heart in the day that He is calling you. Do not let these people scare you away from God, He loces you, and Jesus chewed these people out, in the book of Matthew. You need no one to tell you. Read God's message to YOU. It is the Bible, and it is yours.

I don't think they're taking it to heart. I have been a christian all my life, and I can say yes, I was hypocritical when I was younger. I did some crazy things and still tried to portray this "innocent christian girl" image. Then, one day after a few events happened in my life, I came to this understanding of my life and my past. I now am constantly thinking about God and reading the bible as much as I can and asking myself "how would Jesus react in this situation" whenever things come up. I was never like that before. I wish I had been, but it took time for me to realize what it was all about. I still stray at times, but I tend to catch myself before I've gone too far... then I ask for forgiveness and try harder to do better the next time. God will forgive you if you are truely sorry in your heart, and He will help you when you ask.

listen attentively and then politely exit stage left for whatever the reason. you don't need to listen to everything unless the speech is brief and to the point... fat chance, though, just exit with good timing...
