Our landlord has a little dog who is a very very loveable dog, she can wag her tail soooo much she is so sweet. We live in spain and animal care isnt so good here. yesterday she was foaming at the mouth and she was making these sucky like sounds, i was worried about her so i told the landlords wife but she said theres nothing wrong with her. Today she is looking alot worse, she can bearly wag her tail and she keeps her head down all the time. Ive got a spinger spaniel, they play together alot because the landlord is on the same plot as us. The little dog came and put her paw in my dogs bowl, she HATES water but she started scraching the bottom of the bowl. This morning there was a pile of red spit on the floor. Oh yea i forgot to tell you that the little dog is pregnant. Im worried about my dog cos the little one might give my dog an infection. I cant take her to the vet cos ive got no money. and the landlord wont take her to the vet cos he doesn't really like animals.
WHAT DO I DO??

i would keep your dog away from this dog. it could also be distemper or some other kind of sicknes. i would do what the the first person said to do. and tell them the dog is not being taken care off.

You must keep your dog away from the other dog. I would do what the first person said, is there some sort of humane society? Can you call them? or perhaps the health department? Because this dog is sick and could possibly spread whatever is wrong with him/her. The foaming of the mouth is not a good sign. If you haven't done so already rinse your dogs bowl with very hot soapy water. I would clean the area with blood with bleach. Do not allow this dog anywhere near your dog. I'm sorry there isn't more we can do.

You need to get that little dog to the vet, you won't have to pay, they will call the authorities for this sort of thing in your area as your landlord cannot leave his dog sick and not do anything about it. It is against the law and why there is the such wonderful people such as the RSPCA and ASPCA.
Is she ready to whelp? She may have a stuck puppy in which case it will die and so will she. She can foam at the mouth when stressed.
Please try and do the right thing, get a phone directory for your area and find someone anyone that can help her.
That poor dog, i am devastated.

I am just heart broken.

I wish I had an answer for you. Something is defiantly wrong, follow your heart and be prepared to move if necessary.

Possibly you could call "anonymously" if you wish, a local animal shelter and seek some advise.
